About Roberto
Roberto began studying Raqs al-Sharqi at the age of 15 when he discovered his love for the rich movement vocabulary, music, and history of the dance and the people from which it originates. A decade later, he continues his studies in Raqs al-Sharqi as well as a rigorous education in numerous styles of folk dances from Turkey, North Africa, and the Middle East. Roberto’s passion for dance research took him to Cairo in 2015, and plans are in the works for future trips to Egypt and other countries for further on-site research.
