My guest, Aziza of Montreal will talk about how she implements and maximizes her own practice time at home and while on tour.
Based in Montreal, Canada (by way of Portland, OR), Aziza maintains a year round touring and workshop teaching schedule. This can pose a challenge for her own personal practice. Aziza of Montreal began her dance career in the Pacific Northwest performing for Greek, Arabic, and Persian clubs, restaurants, weddings, and private parties. A combination of placing in international competitions and the immersion of a worldwide internet garnered her invitations to perform in cities across the globe. Aziza’s musicality, fluidity, and stage presence has kept her touring year round for more than 17 years to more than 50 countries worldwide.

Dream Camp
In 2010 Aziza started her intensive week-long Dream Camps. Located in Val Morin, Quebec in a beautiful lakeside renovated convent. Three times a year belly dancers from across the globe come together to train, eat, play, and dance together in a unique supportive environment. Aziza invites top master instructors to join her in creating magic with small intimate groups of Dream Campers. The success of Dream Camp is measured by the high rate of returning dancers year after year!
In addition to international seminars, Dream Camp Intensives, and online classes, Aziza has cultivated ongoing mentorship programs in Europe and North America. By partnering with life coach Lisa Zahiya in North America and in Europe with master instructor Charlotte Desorgher, Aziza lends her experience to foster the next generation of performers and teachers of Oriental dance.
