So you want to teach online classes? It really is a great way to reach and connect with people.
But what’s with the audio thing? Why is my music so garbled? And why does my voice cut out when I play music?
It’s not quite as simple as just setting up a computer or mobile device and turning on Zoom and music. It doesn’t have to be hard. But you have to begin with the right equipment. This is the first key.
I have spent (wasted?) tons of time (and money) working out just the right audio scenario to use with the Zoom meeting platform. I don’t want you to have to go through all of that. So I’m offering my consulting services to help you skip ahead of all the headaches and madness (or at least stop you from continuing on that path) that comes with trying to figure this stuff out.

What is this consultation?
It’s a one hour, one-on-one video consultation at a mutually agreed upon time.
What it covers
I will go over specific equipment that I use, how I set it up and how I use it with Zoom to get a professional audio experience for myself and my students. I will also provide you with a printed equipment list, instructions for setting it all up and for using it with Zoom. I can even teach you how to use your equipment to record using your cellphone for quick videos.
With the information from our consultation, you will know exactly what you need and what concrete steps to take to get yourself set up right.
Important things to know
Getting a professional quality sound (and video) takes an investment. There are different ranges of products that can help you do this. I have tested low and high range products. If you’re starting from scratch (with no equipment), you can acquire the items needed in a range from about $420 – $1180. This range may include items that you already own. For example, if you have a webcam, you can subtract $90 – $200 from the low/high range that I’ve listed.
